Set up to run alongside Pride Month in 2024, Cliik Community ran Pride Conversations, an opportunity for people identifying as LGBTQIA+ to come together to share, to listen and to reflect on their lives and experiences as Queer people.
2024

Over the course of the four sessions we explored themes of growing up, our relationships, our sense of identity and people that we find support from.
Our aim was to provide a safe, respectful place where people felt that their contributions to the discussions would be honoured and listened to. The sessions were led by Arnet Donkin, identifying as a gay man, and experienced in leading groups, men’s workshops and workshops on equality, diversity and identity. Each session used the format of a ‘Heart Circle’, a powerful format for sharing that encourages deep listening and reflection.
Comments from people taking part included:
‘It felt wonderful to be able to share in such a respectful group.’
‘I am reminded about how important it is to be able to talk about things, to be able to say things in a space where I can trust others.’
